Predicate:
OU-A is designed for water treatment, purification, and the production of medical products in the pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as for the purification of solutions in the production of food-grade organic acids. OU-A grade activated clarifying carbon is a finely dispersed, porous, black material free of mechanical impurities, consisting primarily of carbon. It is manufactured according to GOST 4453-74 (an Interstate Standard (GOST) adopted under agreements between CIS countries after the collapse of the USSR. Such standards are in effect simultaneously in several countries, including Russia) from environmentally friendly raw materials (birch wood) under the influence of water vapor at a temperature of 800-950°C, followed by grinding. It has highly developed overall porosity, a wide pore range, and a large specific absorption surface area (over 1200 m² per gram of carbon). With these unique properties, OU-A activated carbon is ideal for purifying and clarifying various liquids and solutions (especially those containing organic impurities of medium and high molecular weight). It does not contain water-soluble iron compounds.
