Preserving the richness and diversity of nature is a key focus for our company – one of the core principles of the «Northern Forest Group's» operations.
The company's logging operations comply with the national laws of the EU and other European countries where the company operates, and are consistent with international forest management principles in accordance with the standards of the voluntary forest certification system "Forest Standard".
Logging is carried out on leased forest areas with a high degree of responsibility for forest management and maximum application of environmental conservation methods (use of winter logging, selective logging, preservation of viable young and immature trees). Reforestation work is carried out entirely within the leased area, and coniferous seedlings are planted. Forest roads are built and maintained, fire prevention measures are implemented, and assistance is provided to local residents in utilizing the forest's resources.
